The Catalina 380 is a beautifully refined production yacht with Catalinas high standard of finish and design. Catalina 380s won boat of the year in 1997 and offer exceptional value for a boat of just 38 foot. Apart from being a sporty inshore and coastal cruiser this boat will suit owners who have relatively ambitious blue water cruising plans in mind.

Her exterior is beautifully maintained and polished regularly. Sails are in excellent condition with additional sails MPS and Spinnaker near new. Sail handling and trimming is made easy with the addition of 3 electric winches in the 6 winch inventory. All lines for hoisting, reefing and trimming lead to a spacious cockpit.  Access is on and off the vessel with a stern platform and large dropdown ladder. Her rig is safe yet sporty with Catalina’s reputation for thoughtful design of systems layout and sailing performance guaranteeing an engaging experience from the helm and sheets.

Heading below, all original cabinetry oozes quality of the boats built in the early 2000s with solid timber furniture, fiddle rails, and sturdy construction. The Salon is light and airy, similar to a pilothouse yacht, made bright with light colour timbers and trimmings. Movement around the boat is easy with American size ergonomics sporting a headroom of 2.06 meters.

There is ample storage all over the yacht and a great galley that connects well to the salon and cockpit areas. A fridge Freezer is augmented with a 60L icebox for those summer days with guests.

The real feature of the Catalina is certainly the roomy master Aft cabin. A huge queen bed with loads of cupboards, walk around space and seating is excellent for the owners who seek comfort and space. Forward there is a comfortable V berth with a filler cushion with a private basin. The Salon table drops down to form a double bed for additional guests or a day bed.

There is a sensible, low maintenance 1 head configuration with double entry from the master suite and salon. The bathroom features a thoughtful separate shower so the bathroom and toilet remain dry. The holding tank configuration features an electroscan treatment system.

With near new sails, good running rigging, recent slipping, solid electronics package, well serviced engine this wonderful yacht is ready to go. Her winged keel provides access to the shallowest rivers and anchorages with her diminutive shallow draft of just 1.62m. She is a wonderful boat for twilight racing, cruising on the inland waterways of East coast Australia or offshore to the Pacific.
